When this game came out [though it appeared well into my gaming life] it blew me away. With Prince of Persia style gameplay in a world that was so incredibly rich in detail. It was almost a shame to move to the next screen..
The game a tough cookie, it was part of a saga that unfortunately started to fizzle out after only a couple of episodes in.
Interestingly our 4 fingered protagonist had too loose a finger for his Japanese release, due to a historical subclass of meat packers called Burakumin. Where showing four fingers became an insult to the working classes, indicating your lack of “work related accidents”!
Good news though, a HD re-make is well into production in the UK by “Just Add Water”. It’s due for a release mid 2013..
