James Pond – Underwater Agent
The game that introduced us to the little mudskipper by the name of James Pond.
It was a love it or hate it affair with innovative ideas (free roaming & able to nip home) being marred by some flaws in the game design (invisible enemy jellyfish anyone?). That aside he found a place in many hearts & managed to spawn two sequels, A spin off game & even some comic air time.
The levels were quite varied in what you had to do with a wide variety of power ups & secret areas. There were some great level names like “A View to a Spill” & “Leak & Let Die”.
Thinking back it was ahead of it time with the green aspects to the game too.
