This game was way beyond product placement. An advergame would probably be a better description of this [Dave Perry produced] platformer..
Outside Europe the game opened with a huge 7up logo on a bottle. While in Europe the drinks container lost its logo, presumably as the drink had been re-branded with Fido Dido (remember him?).
All in all the game was actually a well polished platformer. With a few strange moments thrown in, like the bonus levels you had to collect the letters that spelt either “uncola” or “virgin”. An irony being that the publisher “Virgin” also made a cola drink!
Though they did make a sequel, it was radically different. Opting for an attractive but disorientating isometric style of gameplay that was just not best suited to platform games..
